Emma Akinyi - Founder & Lead Data Consultant

Hi, I’m Emma — the founder of Yavi Kenya: Next Gen Coders. I’m passionate about empowering children and teachers with practical digital skills that open doors to opportunity. Over the years, I’ve seen how technology can transform lives, especially for learners from underserved communities, and I’ve committed myself to making quality computer and coding education accessible, engaging, and affordable.

My journey began with teaching kids the basics of computers and guiding them into the exciting world of coding. Today, Yavi has grown to support both students and teachers, offering programs that build confidence, digital literacy, and real-world problem-solving skills. I believe that every child — regardless of background — deserves the chance to thrive in a tech-driven world. That’s why I also run holiday computer classes and create practical revision materials for learners who need extra support.

At Yavi, we’re nurturing the next generation of thinkers, creators, and innovators. With each lesson, my goal is simple: to open minds, spark curiosity, and help young people discover what they are capable of when given the right tools and guidance.
